Welcome to Chiltern Region Petanque we are a region of the Petanque England (PE) which is the governing body for the sport in this country. Chiltern spans the areas of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Petanque is a great game and can be played by all on many levels. It is a non discriminating sport and can be played in your garden, socially, local leagues, nationally and internationally. It is one of the few games that men and women of all ages and abilities play against each other. We strive to promote Petanque across our region. Our major goal is to introduce and support young players and help develop the sport further. We are committed to help players improve and go as far in the game as they wish. With Chiltern Region we have a number of qualified and experienced coaches as well as umpires who are very generous with their time. We hold a monthly coaching club were we try to cover everything from the basics of the game up to more complex skills and world record attempts. All players are welcome to attend the coaching club, see the calendar for more details. Chiltern has had success over the years with our players winning national titles, representing England internationally a with our greatest achievement in 2011 when one of our players achieved a Bronze medal at the Ladies World Championships.
